Compatible Acer Laptop Models

This replacement CPU cooling fan fits Acer 4820T, 4820, 4745G, 4553 and 5820TG series notebooks. It is designed for owners of these specific laptops who need to replace a worn or noisy original cooler. The four-wire connector matches the motherboard header on the listed models.

Four-Wire Connector Benefit

The 4 Line interface provides pulse-width modulation speed control so the system can adjust fan RPM based on processor temperature. This allows quieter operation at idle and stronger airflow under load compared with a fixed-speed three-wire alternative. Buyers whose laptops use a different pin count or mounting layout cannot use this fan.

Questions about this item

Will the 4-line cable connector on this fan need to be replaced if it becomes loose over time?

The 4-line connector is part of the fan assembly; if the pins bend or the housing cracks, the whole fan must be swapped rather than just the cable.

What thermal limit appears first when this fan runs continuously under heavy load?

The sleeve bearing will reach its temperature ceiling before the motor, causing speed to drop and noise to rise during sustained operation.
