This 120 mm case fan runs on 12 V DC and draws 3.4 W at 0.28 A. It spins at 450 RPM within a 120 × 120 × 25 mm frame and connects through a three-wire lead. The unit is supplied new and ready for standard chassis mounting.

Considerations for low-speed cooling

The 450 RPM rating suits builds that prioritise quiet operation over maximum airflow. Systems needing higher static pressure or faster heat removal should look at fans with greater speed and power ratings.

Questions about this item

What motherboard header does the 3-wire MEC0251V2-0000-A99 connect to?

The 3-wire fan plugs into a standard 3-pin or 4-pin 12 V fan header on the motherboard or a compatible fan controller.

Can the 450 RPM MEC0251V2-0000-A99 run from the same 12 V header as older 120 mm fans?

Yes, it draws 0.28 A at 12 V, so it shares a 12 V fan header with other 120 mm fans without exceeding typical header current limits.
