40 × 40 × 20 mm 12 V case fan drawing 0.22 A for compact cooling

  • Compact 40 mm frame fits tight builds
  • 12 V operation powers from standard headers
  • Low 0.22 A draw keeps system power low
  • 40 x 40 x 20 mm dimensions suit small enclosures

Compact 40 mm case fan

This 40 mm square case fan measures 40 by 40 by 20 mm and runs on a 12 V supply drawing 0.22 A. It is suited to tight chassis, small-form-factor builds or as a targeted spot-cooling device where larger fans cannot fit.

Limited airflow for high-heat loads

The small frame and low current restrict the volume of air the fan can move, so it cannot handle the thermal output of high-wattage CPUs or multi-GPU configurations. Builders needing substantial case airflow or radiator-static pressure should choose larger-diameter fans instead.

Questions about this item

Is the 4020 model the right choice for a 20 mm mounting depth?

Yes, the 4020 designation matches the 20 mm thickness in the 40×40×20 mm dimensions, so it fits a 20 mm mounting space.

What does the 0.22 A current draw mean for my 12 V fan header?

At 12 V the fan draws 0.22 A, which is well within the typical 1 A limit of a standard motherboard fan header.
