  • 50 A draw limits battery impact
  • 4-wire control enables precise speed regulation
  • 85 × 17 mm frame fits tight notebook bays

Compact 5 V 4-wire notebook case fan

The NS85C17-17H05 is a 5 V, four-wire case fan built for notebook chassis. It draws 0.50 A and targets builders or technicians servicing compact portable systems that require PWM speed control. The 17 mm profile suits tight internal clearances where standard desktop fans cannot fit. Supplied as a new component for direct replacement or custom cooling upgrades.

Sustained turbo airflow at fixed voltage

Under continuous load the fan maintains its rated 0.50 A draw at 5 V, delivering steady turbo airflow without the current spikes seen in shorter bursts. The four-wire interface allows the system to modulate speed dynamically, keeping acoustic output proportional to thermal demand during extended sessions. This behaviour suits workloads that hold the thermal envelope for long periods rather than brief peak demands.

Questions about this item

How much heat and power will the 5 V, 0.50 A, 4-wire fan add when it runs all day?

It draws 0.50 A at 5 V, so sustained operation adds minimal heat inside a notebook chassis.

Which connector and voltage must my notebook already provide for this 4-wire, 5 V fan to work?

Your notebook needs a 4-pin PWM header that supplies 5 V; the fan plugs directly into that header.
