Fans R2D250-AM20-09 250mm centrifugal case fan
A 250 mm centrifugal case fan with backward-curved blades delivering up to 35000 m³/h airflow from a 3-phase EC motor running at 2700–3200 rpm on 400–480 VAC
- High airflow up to 35000 m³/h for demanding cooling
- 100 % speed control via analog or serial interface
- Three-phase motor runs on 400/460/480 VAC supplies
- Operates from -25 °C to 90 °C ambient temperature
- Backward-curved blades eliminate need for scroll housing
Industrial centrifugal fan
The Fans R2D250-AM20-09 is a 250 mm ebmpapst centrifugal blower built for industrial air-intake duties. Its backward-curved impeller and external-rotor motor deliver up to 35000 m³/h without a scroll housing. The unit is supplied new and rated for continuous operation from -25 °C to 90 °C.
Three-phase power and control
Verify that your installation provides three-phase AC at 400 V, 460 V or 480 V and either 50 Hz or 60 Hz as listed in the motor data. The motor draws between 0.30 A and 0.39 A depending on voltage and frequency. Speed is adjustable from 0 to 100 % via an analog or serial interface, so the control system must support that signal type.
Mounting and airflow integration
The compact steel-plate housing allows direct mounting in ductwork or equipment enclosures without a separate scroll. Backward-curved blades create a non-overloading power curve from 170 W to 270 W across the voltage range. Ensure the surrounding structure can handle the reaction forces and that intake and exhaust paths remain unobstructed for the rated flow.

Questions about this item
What does the R2D250-AM20-09 package include and what must be sourced separately?
The fan ships as a single centrifugal unit with backward-curved blades and integrated EC motor. Mounting hardware, wiring harness, speed-control interface and any required ducting or filters are not included.
Which voltage and frequency variant of the R2D250-AM20-09 should I select for a 400 VAC 50 Hz supply?
Choose the 400 VAC / 50 Hz winding listed in the data; it draws 0.30 A, consumes 170 W and runs at 2700 rpm under those conditions.
What does the 35000 m³/h airflow figure mean when the fan is installed in a real chassis?
35000 m³/h is the free-air maximum. In a case with filters, grilles and duct resistance the delivered airflow will be lower; the curve shows zero flow at 0 Pa back-pressure, so actual volume depends on system impedance.
