Server-grade cooling for R720 and R720XD

This fan is built for Dell PowerEdge R720 and R720XD servers. It fits the 3RKJC, 03RKJC and 3WNX5-A00 part numbers. The unit is new and intended for system integrators and administrators maintaining these specific platforms. It is not for desktop cases or workstations that use standard form factors.

Sustained airflow in dense chassis

In a fully populated R720 or R720XD the fan runs continuously at the speeds the server firmware demands. It moves the volume of air required to keep CPUs and memory within thermal limits during extended compute tasks. The design targets the restricted airflow paths of a 2U rack enclosure rather than an open desktop chassis. Buyers who need variable low-noise operation for quiet offices should look elsewhere.
