Replacement CPU fan for ThinkPad T60

This new cooling fan and heatsink assembly is built for the IBM and Lenovo ThinkPad T60 and T60P notebooks. It replaces the original CPU fan to restore proper airflow over the processor. The part is ready for installation in compatible laptops.

Direct fit restores stock cooling performance

The bundled heatsink integrates with the fan so the whole thermal module can be swapped in one step. No extra brackets or thermal pads are included, so reuse the original hardware or source it separately. Buyers needing a different laptop model or a standalone fan without the heatsink should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the CPU fan and heatsink assembly need any bearing lubrication or full replacement after extended use in a ThinkPad T60?

The sleeve-bearing fan is not designed for user lubrication; plan to replace the complete cooler once noise or vibration appears.

What is the first thermal limit reached when the ThinkPad T60 runs a sustained heavy workload with this cooler installed?

The single 60 mm fan and copper heat-pipe heatsink will hit its dissipation ceiling before the CPU throttles, so expect rising skin temperatures and fan speed as the first signs of saturation.
