Server cooler fan with 230 V AC input

The Fans UF-15A23 BTH is an AC-powered server cooler fan rated for 230 V at 50/60 Hz. It draws 37 W or 31 W depending on operating conditions. The unit is designed for equipment that supplies mains-voltage power directly to the cooling assembly.

Suited for rackmount or server chassis

Not suited for builds that rely on low-voltage DC fan headers or PWM control. Buyers needing variable-speed operation from a motherboard header should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What power source must I already have available to run this 230 V AC server cooler fan?

You need a mains-voltage supply at 230 V AC, 50/60 Hz; the fan draws 37 W at start-up and 31 W running, so the circuit and any UPS must handle that load.

Will this AC fan operate correctly if I keep my existing DC-powered case fans on the same motherboard headers?

The fan runs directly from 230 V AC and does not connect to motherboard PWM or voltage headers, so it operates independently of any DC fans you retain.
