Compact 40 mm square server fan

The Fans YY4020L12B is a 40x40x20 mm DC fan designed for server and compact chassis cooling. It runs on 12 V power and draws 0.09 A through a two-wire connection. This new unit suits builders who need a low-profile airflow solution in tight spaces.

Limited to two-wire voltage control

The two-wire interface provides power only, so speed cannot be regulated by PWM or monitored via a tachometer signal. Systems that require fan-speed feedback or automatic curve control cannot use this model. Buyers who need variable speed or RPM reporting should choose a three- or four-wire alternative.

Questions about this item

Which YY4020L12B variant matches a 40mm square mounting pattern?

This model is built to the 40 by 40mm square footprint with a 20mm thickness, so it fits standard 40mm server fan mounts.

What does the 0.09A current draw mean for a 12V server rail?

At 0.09 amps on a 12 volt rail the fan draws minimal current, leaving ample headroom on the same rail for other components.
