Fantech Harmony WHG02 wireless headset

The Fantech Harmony WHG02 is a wireless headset built for everyday listening and communication. It uses 40 mm drivers to deliver audio across a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response with 105 dB sensitivity. A built-in omnidirectional microphone handles voice calls and chat. The headset weighs 98.5 g and comes in a black finish.

Suited for users wanting wireless freedom

Tri-mode connectivity lets you switch between wireless operation, a 3.5 mm audio cable and USB charging or audio. Touch controls on the right ear cup manage playback and calls without reaching for a device. The rechargeable battery provides up to 20 hours of playback at 70 percent volume and recharges in about 2 hours. Buyers who need active noise cancellation or a detachable boom microphone should look at other models.

20-hour battery life at 70 percent volume

The single figure that decides suitability is the rated playback time of up to 20 hours when listening at 70 percent volume. Standby time reaches up to 200 hours, and a full charge takes roughly 2 hours. If your daily sessions regularly exceed 20 hours between charges, this headset will not cover the full period without a wired connection.

Questions about this item

What physical space does the headset need for storage or transport?

The box measures 4.2 by 16.3 by 20.1 centimetres and the headset weighs 98.5 grams.

How do I switch between the 3.5 mm cable and the USB charging connection, and what step is often missed?

Plug the 3.5 mm audio cable into the headset for wired audio; use the Type-C cable only for charging. The common mistake is expecting audio through the USB cable.

Which part will need replacement first and how can I tell?

The rechargeable battery delivers up to 20 hours playback at 70 percent volume; when runtime drops noticeably below that, the battery is wearing out.
