2.4 GHz wireless gamepad for PC and PS3

The Fantech Revolver GP12 connects to a PC or PlayStation 3 over a 2.4 GHz link. It weighs roughly 170 grams and measures 154 by 113 by 58 millimetres. The black gamepad is aimed at players who want cable-free control on those two platforms.

Turbo mode and vibration in the box

A dedicated turbo button lets you assign rapid-fire behaviour to any of the 17 buttons without extra software. Built-in vibration motors add tactile feedback during gameplay, and the 1.8 metre USB cable is included for wired use or charging.

Seventeen buttons with 1.8 metre cable fallback

The layout handles most action, sports and racing titles comfortably thanks to the full button count and analogue sticks. It is not suited for games that require motion sensing, touchpad input or a share button. The wired cable ensures play continues if the wireless battery runs low.

Questions about this item

Does the 1.8 m USB cable need replacing after heavy use?

The 1.8 m cable is fixed to the controller; if it frays or the connector loosens the whole unit must be replaced.

What stops the 17-button layout from working during a marathon session?

The USB wired link supplies power continuously, so there is no battery to drain; the only hard stop is a PC port or cable failure.

How loud or warm does the vibration motor get after hours of play?

The dual vibration motors add a low hum and slight warmth to the 170 g shell, but stay well within comfortable hand-held limits.
