FASCO A213 Draft Inducer for Lennox Furnaces
This FASCO A213 draft inducer replaces Lennox part numbers 18L0401 and 702110376 on residential furnaces. It operates on 115V AC single-phase power at 60 Hz and draws 2.1 A through wire leads. The shaded-pole motor is rated for Class B insulation.
Thermals, Noise and Power in Normal Use
The motor reaches a maximum speed of 3,200 RPM with a fan speed up to 3,400 RPM during standard operation. Inlet air temperature must not exceed 40 degrees C. Static pressure capability tops out at 3 1/4 in wc. The unit uses a shaded-pole motor design with Class B insulation for reliable continuous duty.
Behaviour Under Sustained Load
Under prolonged heating cycles the shaded-pole motor maintains its rated 3,200 RPM maximum speed within the 40 degrees C inlet limit. Current draw remains at the nameplate 2.1 A at 115V AC. The 2 in inlet and outlet diameters maintain airflow without restriction. This inducer is not suited for appliances requiring higher static pressure or different voltage.

Questions about this item
How do I wire the 115V shaded-pole motor to the furnace control board?
Connect the two wire leads to the inducer terminals on the board; the motor is single-phase so polarity does not matter, but secure the ground screw to the chassis before restoring power.
When should I plan to replace the motor bearings on this draft inducer?
The shaded-pole motor uses sleeve bearings rated for continuous operation at 40 °C inlet air; expect service intervals of several heating seasons and replace when fan speed drops below 3 200 RPM or noise increases.
What static-pressure limit will trip the pressure switch first during a long heating cycle?
The inducer is rated for a maximum of 3 1/4 in wc; if vent restriction or a dirty heat exchanger pushes static pressure above that value the pressure switch will open and shut down the furnace.
