HVAC Shaded-Pole Motor 1/80 HP 1500 RPM

This FASCO D122 is a single-phase shaded-pole motor rated at 1/80 HP and 1500 RPM. It operates on 115 V AC at 60 Hz and draws 0.60 A at full load. The 3.3 frame uses a closed-base steel construction with stud mounting.

Direct replacements for small ventilation units

It suits technicians replacing a failed motor in residential HVAC blowers, range hoods or draft inducers that require a 3.3 frame and clockwise shaft rotation. Installations needing 208 V or 200 V supply, reversible rotation, or higher output power cannot use this unit.

115 V only — not usable at 208 V or 200 V

The nameplate explicitly states the motor is not usable at 208 V or 200 V. Verify the supply voltage matches 115 V AC before purchase; no dual-voltage wiring option exists.

Questions about this item

Will the 1/80 hp motor overheat if it runs continuously at 1500 rpm?

The motor has automatic thermal protection and a Class B insulation rating for a maximum ambient temperature of 40 degrees C, so it will shut down before overheating under normal conditions.

How loud and how much power does the 115V shaded-pole motor draw during all-day operation?

It draws 0.60 amps at 115 volts for about 10 watts output, and the totally enclosed air-over design keeps noise low while the frame stays cool.

What mounting hardware and voltage supply do I need to install this 3.3 frame motor?

You need a 115V AC single-phase supply and stud-mount brackets that match the 3.3 steel frame; the motor shaft rotates clockwise when viewed from the shaft end.
