20 ft COB RGB tape light

The Feit Electric TAPE240/COB/RGB is a 20 ft colour changing LED strip designed for indoor accent and under cabinet lighting. It uses Chip on Board construction to produce smooth multicolor output at 120 lumen. The 10 mm wide silicone coated tape can be trimmed at marked intervals to fit shelves, cabinets or stairs. A remote control adjusts brightness, colours and modes from across the room.

Thermals noise and power draw

The LED tape runs on corded electric power and produces minimal heat during normal operation. No fan or moving parts are present so the installation remains completely silent. The energy efficient LED design keeps power draw low while delivering consistent colour changing performance. Suitable for continuous use in kitchens bedrooms and living areas.

Remote control and mounting flexibility

The included remote lets you change brightness colour and lighting modes without reaching the strip. The plug in or hardwire power option supports both temporary DIY upgrades and permanent installations. The ultra thin 10 mm profile fits tight spaces behind furniture along walls or under cabinets. The durable silicone coating protects the COB LEDs and maintains even light distribution.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 20 ft COB tape light and what step is often missed?

Trim only at the marked intervals on the 10 mm strip, then choose plug-in or hardwire power. The step people miss is measuring and cutting before mounting, because the silicone coating cannot be rejoined once cut.

What maintenance or replacement will the COB silicone strip need later?

The COB LED array is sealed in silicone and rated for long life, so no routine maintenance is required. If a section fails after the 1 year manufacturer period, the affected length must be replaced because the strip is not serviceable.

What limit appears first during sustained use of the 120 lumen RGB tape?

The 10 mm silicone housing limits heat dissipation, so during extended runs the strip will reach its thermal ceiling before the remote control or power supply becomes the bottleneck.
