Fel-Pro VS12690 Interior Care Product

This Fel-Pro interior care item is identified by part number VS12690 and carries a transparent finish. It is intended for vehicle owners and detailers seeking a manufacturer-sourced solution for cabin surfaces. The product lists compatibility references including Ed, Ford, Pas, Tk, Trac, Ind and Merc alongside the codes 223 and 26260-6.

Sustained Use Behaviour

The transparent formulation is designed to maintain its appearance on interior materials over repeated exposure to sunlight and temperature changes. No performance metrics for abrasion resistance or chemical durability are provided by the manufacturer. Buyers who need quantified wear data or specific UV protection ratings will not find those figures in the available specifications.

Practical Compatibility Limits

Fitment is defined by the listed application codes rather than a universal standard, so verification against the specific vehicle is required before purchase. The width dimension is not supplied, which may affect coverage planning for larger panels. Installers who require exact dimensional data or a broader fitment list should consult the manufacturer directly.

Questions about this item

Does the transparent formula leave any residue that could trap heat on vinyl surfaces?

The product is transparent and designed for interior care, so it dries clear without a heavy film that would insulate vinyl or plastic trim.

What applicator or cleaner should I have on hand before using this interior care product?

A clean microfiber cloth or foam applicator pad is all that is needed to spread the formula evenly across dashboards, door panels and consoles.

Will the 2024 formulation affect older factory coatings on a 223-series dashboard?

The current formula is safe for original interior finishes and will not degrade older vinyl, cloth or plastic surfaces.
