What this filter fits

The Fellowes 9287001 True HEPA filter is a direct replacement for AeraMax 90, 100 and DX5 air purifiers. It targets households that need allergen and odor reduction in a single cartridge.

Capture rate and antimicrobial layer

The True HEPA media captures 99.97% of airborne particles as small as .3 microns including pollen, ragweed, viruses, germs, dust mites, mold spores and cigarette smoke. AeraSafe antimicrobial treatment inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria, mildew and fungi on the filter surface.

Service interval and change indicator

With normal usage the filter should be replaced every 12 months to maintain peak purifier performance. The purifier’s built-in filter change indicator notifies you when replacement is due.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 9287001 filter in my AeraMax 100, and what step is often missed?

Open the front cover, slide out the old filter, insert the new 9287001 with the airflow arrow pointing toward the unit, then close the cover and reset the filter change indicator so the 12‑month timer restarts correctly.

What maintenance does the 9287001 need and when should I replace it?

The True HEPA filter with AeraSafe antimicrobial treatment is not washable; replace it every 12 months or when the purifier's filter change indicator lights up to maintain 99.97% capture of .3 micron particles.

What is the first limitation I will hit when running the AeraMax 90 continuously with this filter?

The filter's 99.97% efficiency at .3 microns will gradually drop as the microfiber glass media loads with pollen, dust mites and smoke, so the purifier's indicator will signal replacement after roughly 12 months of normal use.
