Room-scale air purifier

The Fellowes AeraMax SV 9794501 is a HEPA and carbon air cleaner built for spaces up to 1,500 sq ft. It targets dust, allergens, smoke and odours in large living areas, open-plan offices or commercial rooms. Four speed settings let the user match airflow to current conditions. It is not suited to buyers who need whole-building filtration or duct integration.

Sustained filtration performance

A CADR of 546.3 indicates the volume of clean air delivered per minute under continuous operation. The H13 True HEPA and carbon filter combination captures fine particles and adsorbs gases without a drop-off after the first few minutes. The pre-filter extends the life of the main media by trapping larger debris. It does not meet the needs of users who require real-time air-quality displays or app-based scheduling.

Thermals noise and power

The unit runs on standard household power with four selectable fan speeds that trade airflow for acoustic output. Lower speeds keep background noise minimal for bedrooms or meeting rooms, while the highest setting moves maximum air for rapid turnover. No decibel ratings or wattage figures are supplied by the manufacturer. It is not intended for buyers who demand silent operation at maximum throughput.

Questions about this item

How loud is the AeraMax SV 9794501 when running continuously at its highest speed?

The unit offers four speed settings; at the top setting the CADR reaches 546.3 while moving enough air for a 1,500 sq ft space.

Does the FELLOWES 9794501 require any separate filters or accessories to operate out of the box?

It ships with an H13 True HEPA/carbon filter and a pre-filter already installed, so no additional purchase is needed to start cleaning air.

Will the 9794501 effectively clean a room that measures 40 ft by 37.5 ft alongside an older purifier I already own?

Its maximum rated coverage is exactly 40 ft x 37.5 ft (1,500 sq ft), so it can handle that entire area on its own without relying on another device.
