Purpose & Fit

This carbon filter is built for the Fellowes AeraMax 290 air purifier. It targets odors and traps large airborne particles in home or office spaces. The design matches the unit dimensions so installation is straightforward. Buyers needing HEPA-grade capture of fine allergens should look elsewhere.

Sustained Operation

Activated carbon adsorbs smells continuously while the purifier runs. The media loads gradually and the indicator signals when replacement is due. Changing the filter four times a year keeps airflow and odor control steady. Skipping changes lets odors return and reduces overall purifier effectiveness.

Deciding Spec

The filter fits the AeraMax 290 model only. Dimensions are 16 1/8" by 12 7/16" by 3/16" and it weighs 1 unit. Verify the purifier model number before ordering. This part does not fit other AeraMax sizes or competing brands.

Questions about this item

How much noise, heat or extra power draw does the FEL9324201 add when the AeraMax 290 runs continuously?

The carbon filter is a passive component; it adds no noise, no heat and draws no power. Replacing it on schedule simply keeps airflow and odour removal at design levels.

What existing hardware must I already own for this FEL9324201 filter to work?

It is designed specifically for the Fellowes AeraMax 290 air purifier; the purifier itself must be in place before the filter can be used.

Will this filter fit the older AeraMax 290 model I already own?

Yes — the FEL9324201 is the designated carbon filter for the AeraMax 290, so it fits that unit directly.
