Portable DVD Writer for Laptops and Desktops

The Fellowes NXA125-HAIWAY-VR is an external optical drive that reads and writes CDs and DVDs on systems lacking an internal bay. It connects through USB 3.0 Type-A or Type-C ports and works with Windows, Linux and Mac OS without extra drivers. The unit suits anyone needing to install software, archive files or play discs on modern thin laptops, MacBooks or desktop PCs.

Slim Slot-Load Design with Dual USB Connectors

A slim white chassis houses a slot-load mechanism that accepts standard 12 cm discs and includes a forced-ejection pinhole for stuck media. The attached cable ends in both a USB 3.0 Type-A plug and a USB 3.0 Type-C plug so the drive fits older and newer ports without adapters. Power is drawn entirely from the host port, though desktop users should connect to a motherboard header for reliable current.

Ready to Use with Manual and Dual-Plug Cable

The package supplies the drive, an integrated dual-connector USB cable and a printed user manual. No separate power brick, driver disc or burning software is included, so the device relies on the operating system native support for reading, writing and playback tasks. Buyers who need Blu-ray capability, Chromebook support or TV and vehicle connectivity should look elsewhere.
