20 ft USB-C Extension Cable

This 20-foot male-to-female USB-C extension cable adds reach for charging, data and video. It supports up to 100 W power delivery, 5 Gbps data transfer and 4K resolution at 60 Hz. The grey braided jacket resists wear and suits permanent or semi-permanent routing across rooms.

Upgrade from Short Factory Cables

The extra length replaces the short cables bundled with phones, tablets or laptops when the power socket or display is far from the workspace. The jump is worth it when you need to run a single cable under a rug, along a baseboard or across a living area without adding hubs or extra power bricks.

100 W Charging and 4K@60 Hz Headroom

The cable comfortably handles 100 W PD charging for laptops and 4K 60 Hz video to monitors when both host and display support the required alt mode. It runs out of headroom for very large file transfers where signal attenuation over 20 feet can reduce practical throughput below the 5 Gbps rating.

Questions about this item

How much clearance does the 20 ft male-to-female USB-C cable need behind a monitor or desk?

The 20 ft length spans a full room or balcony; route the braided cord loosely and keep the connector ends accessible so the 24-pin plugs seat fully without sharp bends.

What is the correct way to plug and unplug the 5 Gbps extension so the internal wires do not break?

Always grip the metal connector housing, never pull the grey braided cable, and insert the male plug straight into the host port until it clicks before attaching the female end to your device.

When will the 100 W charging or 4K 60 Hz video stop working reliably and need a shorter or active cable?

Signal loss grows with distance; if 5 Gbps transfers stall or 3840×2160 60 Hz video flickers, replace the 20 ft run with a shorter cable or an active repeater.
