What this cable connects

The FEMORO USB-C to Micro USB cable links a USB-C host to Micro USB devices for both data and power. It suits users with legacy phones, older Kindles, headphones or portable drives that still use the Micro USB socket. The 15 cm length keeps desks tidy and works well with power banks or laptop ports. Buyers needing a longer reach or USB-C to USB-C connectivity should look elsewhere.

Thermals noise and power draw

The braided construction and aluminium alloy shells dissipate the modest heat from 12 W charging without any fan or active cooling. No audible noise is produced during data transfer at 480 Mbps or while delivering the rated current. Power draw follows the USB 2.0 specification and stays within the host port limits.

What it replaces and when to upgrade

This cord replaces loose Micro USB cables and bulky OTG adapters when a short, durable link is preferred. The 15 000 bend rating and reinforced strain relief extend service life compared to basic PVC leads. The jump is worth it if you frequently connect Micro USB gear to modern USB-C ports and want a compact, tangle-resistant solution.

Questions about this item

How do I plug the 6-inch USB-C to Micro USB cable in without stressing the braided joint?

Align the USB-C plug with the host port and the Micro-USB plug with the device port, then push both straight in until the metal shells seat fully; the 15000-bend-rated strain relief handles the angle, but forcing it sideways can still damage the internal pins.

Will the aluminium connector shells or the braided jacket need any upkeep after months of daily carry?

No scheduled maintenance is required; the aluminium shells resist corrosion and the braided jacket resists fraying, so normal use only needs an occasional wipe with a dry cloth if dust builds up.

What stops the cable from delivering more than 12 W during a long charge session?

The integrated smart chip negotiates a 12 W ceiling with the host, so sustained draw is capped at that level even if the power source could supply more.
