8" x 6" flexible coupling for DWV and sewer

This Fernco 1056-86 coupling creates a leakproof joint in drain, waste, vent and sewer lines. It joins 8 inch pipe to 6 inch pipe made from cast iron, plastic, copper, steel or lead. The flexible design absorbs movement and misalignment while resisting corrosion, rot, sunlight and chemical degradation.

Replaces rigid fittings where alignment

Use this coupling when you need to connect dissimilar pipe materials or bridge slight offsets that rigid fittings cannot tolerate. The jump is worth it on repair jobs where excavation space is limited and a quick, adaptable seal saves time over traditional hub-and-spigot or solvent-weld methods.

Installs with standard band clamps, no special tools

Slide the coupling over the prepared pipe ends, centre it over the joint and tighten the included stainless steel clamps with a screwdriver or nut driver. The most common error is under-tightening the clamps, which can allow the coupling to shift under ground movement or hydrostatic pressure. Ensure pipe ends are clean and cut square before fitting.
