2230 M.2 M-Key to OCuLink Adapter
This Fervit adapter adds a vertical OCuLink SFF-8612 port to a 2230 M.2 M-Key slot. It transmits PCI Express 4.0 signals using the NVME protocol. The 67 pin male connector plugs directly into the host system. An optional cable completes the link to an NVME U.2 SSD or an eGPU graphics card.
Suits 2230 M-Key slots only
Builders with a free 2230 M-Key M slot can add external storage or graphics via OCuLink. Systems lacking this exact slot type cannot use the adapter. Buyers who need a different M-Key length or a different host interface should look at something else.
PCI Express 4.0 over NVME
The adapter carries PCI Express 4.0 traffic across the NVME protocol to the SFF-8612 connector. This single specification determines whether the connected SSD or eGPU will operate at the intended link speed. Verify that the host slot and the target device both support this protocol version.

Questions about this item
What comes in the box and what must I buy separately?
The package contains the vertical adapter with a 67-pin M.2 M-key male connector and an OCuLink SFF-8612 female port. An OCuLink cable and the NVME SSD or eGPU enclosure are not included.
Which version should I choose for my 2230 M-key slot?
This single model fits a 2230 M.2 M-key slot and provides one SFF-8612 OCuLink interface running at PCIe 4.0. There are no alternative capacities or versions to select.
What does PCIe 4.0 over OCuLink mean for my NVME drive or eGPU?
The adapter passes PCIe 4.0 signals through the SFF-8612 connector so an NVME SSD or eGPU connected with a compatible cable will communicate at the full Gen 4 rate supported by the host slot.
