What this adapter does
The Fervit DC Jack 7.4x5.0mm to USB-C angled adapter converts a 18-20V DC barrel input into a USB-C Power Delivery output up to 140W. It supports PD and QC 2.0/3.0 profiles including 5V/2A, 9V/3A, 15V/2A, 20V/3.25A, 20V/5A and 20V/7A. The 90° plug fits tight spaces around the port. It is intended for users powering 140W, 100W or 65W laptops, tablets or phones from a compatible DC source.
Check your DC source and device
Verify that your DC power supply delivers 18-20V and is rated for at least the wattage your device requires, up to 140W. Confirm the barrel connector on your supply measures 7.4x5.0mm so it mates with the adapter input. Check your laptop, tablet or phone specification for its required voltage and current; mismatched ratings can damage the device. The adapter only works with supplies that provide the stated DC input range.
Thermals noise and power draw
The adapter contains a built-in 140W DC 20V 7A PD emulator trigger and has no moving parts, so it produces no audible noise. Heat output scales with the power being negotiated; at full 140W load the housing will become warm. Ensure the angled connector has free airflow and is not covered by cables or surfaces. Power draw from the DC source equals the negotiated output plus conversion loss.

Questions about this item
Does the package include a USB-C cable or must I supply my own?
Only the DC jack-to-USB-C adapter is supplied; a USB-C cable rated for up to 140W must be purchased separately.
Which charger wattage should I pair with this 140W adapter?
Use a 135W or 140W DC charger that delivers 18V–20V; lower-wattage chargers will limit the output to their maximum.
What power levels can my laptop actually draw through this adapter?
The adapter negotiates 5V/2A, 9V/3A, 15V/2A, 20V/3.25A, 20V/5A or 20V/7A up to 140W, so a 100W laptop will charge at 100W and a 65W laptop at 65W.
