Extends an M-key NVME or SATA SSD from a 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 slot to a 2230, 2240, 2260, 2280 or 22110 socket using a 30 cm, 90-degree PCI-E 4.0 cable
- Extends NVME or SATA drives up to 30 cm with PCI-E 4.0 speed
- 90-degree right-angled connector fits tight spaces behind motherboards and expansion cards
- Flexible PVC-sheathed copper lines bend easily without signal loss for clean cable routing
- Supports M-key form factors 2230 2242 2260 2280 22110 for broad SSD compatibility
- Two PCBA ends provide secure male-to-female extension without protocol conversion
PCI-E 4.0 NVME extension cable
This Fervit cable extends an M-key NVME drive away from the mainboard by 30 cm using a 90-degree right-angled connector. It carries PCI Express 4.0 signals and supports drive lengths 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 on the host side, with an additional 22110 length on the device side. The assembly includes two PCBAs joined by a flexible PVC-sheathed copper cable designed for tight internal routing.
Protocol compatibility decides fit
The cable only extends NVME to NVME or SATA to SATA; it cannot convert between the two protocols. If your drive and slot use different signalling — for example an NVME drive in a SATA-only M.2 socket — this part will not work. The 90-degree male plug also requires enough clearance around the motherboard socket to seat without fouling adjacent components.
Suits builders relocating M-key NVME or SATA drives
It fits compact builds where the drive must sit behind the motherboard tray, in a riser bracket or in a separate enclosure. Buyers needing protocol conversion, longer reach than 30 cm, or a straight connector should look at other solutions.

Questions about this item
What does the PCI-E 4.0 rating mean for my SSD speed once the cable is installed?
The cable supports PCI-E 4.0 signalling, so an NVME drive will run at its full Gen 4 bandwidth through the 30 cm link.
Which M.2 key and protocol does the male connector use, and what does that limit?
The male end is an M-key NVME interface; it only extends NVME-to-NVME or SATA-to-SATA and cannot cross-convert between the two.
What SSD lengths and motherboard clearance does the 90-degree plug need to fit?
The right-angled male plug accepts 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 drives, while the female end adds 22110 support; the 30 cm flexible PVC cable routes in tight spaces.
