DIY Type-C Solder Connectors
This pack supplies ten surface-mount Type-C female sockets designed to replace legacy Micro-USB 5-pin ports on custom boards. Each connector is new and intended for hobbyist or OEM projects where a modern USB-C interface is required. Soldering skill is essential because the pins must be hand-fitted to the PCB.
USB 2.0 Power and Data Limits
The connectors comply with the USB 2.0 specification and deliver up to DC 5 V at 2 A when paired with a Type-C USB 2.0 host and device. Data throughput reaches 480 Mbps in Hi-Speed mode and falls back to 1.5 Mbps for Low-Speed 1.1 peripherals. Bandwidth above 480 Mbps and power profiles beyond 5 V 2 A are not supported.
Mixed Pinout Kit for Prototyping
Five units follow the standard pinout and five use a reversible pinout, giving flexibility during board layout and testing. The sockets accept mice, keyboards, phones, speakers or any peripheral that currently uses a Micro-USB plug. Builders who need SuperSpeed lanes, alternate modes or a pre-assembled cable will need a different solution.
