Internal USB 2.0 and 3.0 panel with four Type
This bracket adds four female USB Type-A ports to a desktop PC, connecting to both 9-pin and 20-pin motherboard headers. It supports USB 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0 devices such as hubs, external SSDs and cameras. The 50 cm cable and 12 cm PCI bracket mount at the rear of the case.
Build integration and header flexibility
The adapter plugs directly into an internal USB 2.0 9-pin header and a USB 3.0 20-pin header, exposing four external ports through a standard expansion slot. It requires no additional power connector and occupies one rear bracket space. Builders without spare front-panel headers can use this to add rear connectivity instead.
Sustained transfer behaviour
The link runs at up to 5 Gbps for USB 3.0 Super-Speed and 480 Mbps for USB 2.0 Hi-Speed, with backward compatibility down to 1.5 Mbps. Throughput remains stable during extended file copies because the single-piece moulded cable and direct header connection avoid intermediate hubs. Devices that demand continuous bandwidth share the total header bandwidth.

Questions about this item
How many USB 3.0 20-pin motherboard headers does this panel need to run all four ports at 5 Gbps?
The panel converts one 20-pin header into four USB 3.0 Type-A ports, so a single 20-pin header supplies the 5 Gbps bandwidth shared across the four ports.
Does the 12 cm PCI bracket add any active cooling or power draw when the panel runs all day?
The bracket is a passive metal slot cover with no fan or circuitry, so it adds zero power draw and no noise; heat is limited to the cable and motherboard header.
Which motherboard headers must already be free — 9-pin, 19-pin or 20-pin — to use every port on this panel?
You need one free USB 3.0 20-pin header for the four USB 3.0 ports, or one free USB 2.0 9-pin header if you only need USB 2.0 speeds; the 19-pin connector is not used for this panel.
