Fervit USB 3.0 Micro SD Reader with USB-C OTG
This Fervit reader transfers data from Micro SD, SDXC and TF cards at up to 5 Gbps over a USB 3.0 connection. It draws power directly from the host port so no external supply is required. The bundle includes a USB-C OTG adapter that lets OTG-capable Android tablets and phones access the same cards. Windows ME, 2000, XP, Vista, 7 and Mac OS are supported.
Check host port and device OTG support
Verify that the computer or laptop provides a standard USB-A port for the reader; the adapter fits only a full-size USB socket, not a slim variant. On Android, confirm the handset or tablet explicitly supports USB OTG before ordering because the adapter will not work on devices lacking that function. The package supplies both the reader and the OTG adapter together.
Thermals noise and power in normal use
The reader is bus-powered and has no moving parts, so it runs silently and adds negligible heat to the host system. Power consumption stays within the limits of a standard USB 3.0 port during transfers. No fan or active cooling is present, and no separate power brick is needed.

Questions about this item
Does the box contain everything needed to read a micro SD card on a phone and a computer?
The package includes a USB 3.0 micro SD card reader and a USB-C OTG adapter, so you can connect the reader to a computer USB port or to an Android device that supports OTG.
Which card types work with the included reader?
The reader accepts micro SD, micro SDXC and TF cards; no other card formats are supported.
What does the 5 Gbps USB 3.0 rating mean for actual file transfers?
5 Gbps is the interface ceiling; real-world speeds depend on the card used and the host device, but the reader draws power from the USB port and needs no separate supply.
