USB 3.0 to mSATA SSD Adapter
This cable enclosure connects a 68-pin mSATA SSD to any host with a Type-A or Type-C port. It fits standard 30x50 mm drives and supports SATA Gen1, Gen2 and Gen3 protocols. The aluminium shell provides heat dissipation and a slim, portable form factor. It is aimed at users who need to read or recover data from legacy mSATA modules.
Replaces internal mSATA slots or docks
The adapter upgrades a laptop or desktop that lacks an mSATA connector by exposing the drive over USB 3.0 Gen1 at up to 5 Gbps. It is backward compatible with USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps. The jump is worth it when the internal slot is missing, damaged or occupied and you still need access to the drive. It does not serve M.2 or Mini-PCIe devices.
Tool-free plug-and-play installation
Insert the SSD into the 68-pin connector, plug the cable into the host, and the drive appears without extra drivers on Windows 7 through 11, Linux or macOS. UASP and TRIM support are handled by the onboard controller. Bus power means no external supply is needed. The only common issue is attempting to use an M.2 or Mini-PCIe drive, which the slot physically rejects.
