Fervit USB 3.0 Male-to-Male Cable 60cm
This Fervit cable connects two USB 3.0 Type-A ports using a flat, tangle-free design. A blue aluminium alloy shell and gold silver-plated connectors provide a durable, solid link. The single-piece moulded construction resists damage from accidental pulling. It is supplied new in a 60cm length.
Suits direct USB 3.0 device links.
Builders linking a USB 3.0 SSD, camera or similar peripheral straight to a host Type-A port will find the 5Gbps throughput and rugged jacket convenient. It is not for connections that require USB Type-C, Micro-B or any other connector shape. It is also not for runs longer than the fixed 60cm span.
5Gbps USB 3.0 throughput decides fit
The cable delivers up to 5Gbps when both host and device support USB 3.0, which is 10x the speed of USB 2.0. If your workflow demands that bandwidth over a short, flat Type-A-to-Type-A run, this part matches the requirement. If the link must exceed 60cm or use a different connector, this cable will not work.

Questions about this item
How much power does the 60cm cable draw when an SSD runs all day?
The cable itself draws no power; it only carries the 5 Gbps signal between the USB 3.0 host and the device.
Which ports must my computer and peripheral already have for this cable to work?
Both ends need a USB 3.0 Type-A port; the cable plugs directly into those sockets.
Will the 5 Gbps link still run at full speed if I connect a USB 2.0 drive through this cable?
The cable supports USB 3.0, but the connection will fall back to USB 2.0 speeds with a USB 2.0 device.
