Fervit

Fervit USB 3.1 Gen2 10Gbps NVME M-Key Enclosure 2230/2242

SKU CH-KB6D-N7MWG

Connects NVMe M-Key SSDs in 2230 or 2242 sizes via USB 3.1 Gen 2 at 10Gbps with UASP and Trim support

  • 10 Gbps USB 3.1 Gen 2 for fast NVME transfers
  • Aluminium alloy shell dissipates heat and stays portable
  • JMS583 controller enables UASP and Trim for sustained SSD speed
  • Blue LED indicates live data activity at a glance
  • Fits 2230 and 2242 M-Key NVME drives only

Target Drive Type

This enclosure accepts NVME M-Key solid-state drives in 2230 and 2242 lengths. It is built for users who want to turn a compatible internal PCIe-based module into a portable external drive.

Host Connection Needs

The unit connects through a USB 3.1 Gen2 10Gbps port and falls back to USB 3.1 Gen1 or USB 3.0 at 5Gbps. It does not work with SATA-based M.2 drives, PCIe AHCI modules, WiFi cards, capture cards or mSATA SSDs.

Controller Benefits

A JMS583 controller provides UASP and TRIM support to maintain throughput and extend drive life. A blue LED indicates transfer activity and the aluminium shell aids heat dissipation during use.

Questions about this item

What limits transfer speed during sustained heavy use with this enclosure?

The JMS583 controller and USB 3.1 Gen2 10Gbps interface set the ceiling; the aluminum shell helps heat dissipation so throttling is less likely during long sessions

How much noise or heat appears when the enclosure runs all day?

No fan is fitted; the all-aluminium shell acts as a passive heatsink, so operation is silent and the case becomes warm but stays within safe limits

Which drive must I already own for this enclosure to work?

An NVME M-Key PCIe SSD in 2230 or 2242 form factor — SATA, AHCI, Wi-Fi cards and other M.2 devices are not supported
