Fervit USB 3.1 Type-C Female to USB 3.0 19pin 20pin Header Adapter
Converts an internal 19pin or 20pin USB 3.0 motherboard header into an external USB 3.1 Type-C female port supporting 5Gbps data and 5V/500mA power
- Add a USB-C port to your case using a 19pin or 20pin header
- Transfer data at 5Gbps over USB 3.0 internal connection
- Delivers up to 500mA at 5V for low-power devices
- No Power Delivery, video or audio passthrough supported
- Converts a 9pin USB 3.0 header to an external Type-C socket
USB-C front-panel adapter for desktop builds
This Fervit adapter adds a single USB-C female port to a desktop by converting an internal motherboard header. It is aimed at PC builders and upgraders who want a modern front-panel or bracket connection without replacing the board.
Upgrade from USB-A headers to USB-C connectivity
The adapter replaces a standard 19-pin or 20-pin USB 3.0 header with a USB 3.1 Type-C socket running at 5 Gbps. The jump is worth it when a case or accessory demands a USB-C port but the motherboard only exposes legacy internal headers.
Fits a 9-pin internal header
The PCBA plugs directly into a 9-pin USB 3.0 motherboard header and draws up to 500 mA at 5 V from the board. It frees up the rear I/O by moving a USB-C port to the front or a bracket, but does not support Power Delivery, video or audio alternate modes.

Questions about this item
What motherboard header does this adapter plug into?
It connects to a 19-pin or 20-pin USB 3.0 internal header on the motherboard.
Which way round does the header connector go, and what do people get wrong?
Align the missing-pin key on the header with the blocked hole on the adapter; reversing it bends pins and prevents the 5 Gbps link from working.
Will the USB-C port need a firmware update or driver later?
No firmware or driver is required; the adapter is a passive PCB that passes USB 3.0 5 Gbps data and 5 V / 500 mA power directly from the motherboard header.
