USB-C OTG host cable for phones and laptops
This 30 cm cable lets a USB-C phone, tablet or laptop act as the host for a standard USB 3.0 Type-A device. The OTG function is directional; the USB-C plug must connect to the host and the USB-A plug to the peripheral. It enables direct access to 2.5 inch hard drives without a separate power adapter.
Short moulded cable with fixed host-device
The 30 cm length keeps the link tidy on a desk or in a bag while the moulded strain relief protects the connectors during frequent insertion. Because the cable cannot be reversed, the USB-A port is always the downstream device port, preventing accidental misconnection when swapping drives.
Replaces longer USB-A to USB-C cables that lack
Standard cables often require the computer to be the host, blocking phone-to-drive transfers. This cable adds OTG host capability in a compact form factor, making the jump worthwhile when you need to read or write a 2.5 inch drive directly from a mobile device.

It needs about 30 cm of free space between the host's Type-C port and the USB-A device.
Which end plugs into the host and which into the device?
The USB-C male end goes into the host (laptop, tablet or phone) and the USB-A male end goes into the device such as a 2.5" hard drive.
