USB A Female to 2-Pin Adapter Set
This set includes two latch-mount cables that convert a USB Type-A female port to a 2-pin open-ended connection. Each cable measures 10cm including the connector. The design allows DIY builders to extend USB power connections inside a cabinet or enclosure. Power transfer is the only function provided.
Replaces Soldered USB Power Leads
The latch-mount sockets remove the need to solder wires directly to a PCB when adding a Type-A power input. The upgrade is worth it when a removable, serviceable connection is required for maintenance or module swaps. It suits projects where a permanent USB port must be mounted to a panel. Data lines are not connected through this adapter.
Limited to USB 2.0 Power Delivery
The cable supports up to DC 5V 3A throughput when paired with a USB 2.0 power source and device. No data transfer is possible because only the power pins are wired. The 10cm length restricts placement to internal, short-range routing. Builders needing data signals or longer reach must use a different solution.

Questions about this item
What panel cut-out or spacing does the latch-mount female socket need?
The latch-mount female socket is designed to snap into a standard cabinet panel opening; the 10 cm cable tails give a little routing slack once the socket is seated.
Which step is most often missed when wiring the two open leads?
Polarity must be checked before soldering or crimping — the two-pin cable carries only DC 5 V power, so reversing the wires will prevent the connected device from receiving power.
What part of this assembly is likely to need replacement first?
The 10 cm cable and its two-pin leads see repeated flexing at the latch mount, so the cable itself is the component most likely to wear out before the USB 2.0 female socket.
