USB-C 2.0 Card Reader for Mobile Devices
The Fervit USB-C 2.0 Card Reader 3-in-1 Adapter connects TF, Micro-SD, SD, SDXC and SDHC cards to laptops, tablets or phones with a USB-C port. It supports UHS-1 speed cards and adds a USB-A female port for OTG accessories. The unit draws power from the host port so no external supply is required. It works with Windows, macOS and Android devices.
Capacity and Headroom at 480 Mbps
The adapter transfers data at up to 480 Mbps over the USB 2.0 interface, which is sufficient for moving photos, videos and documents from UHS-1 cards. Large multi-gigabyte transfers will take noticeably longer than on a USB 3.0 or faster reader. The single card slot handles one card at a time, so workflows needing simultaneous access to multiple cards are not supported.
Practical Limits of the USB 2.0 Interface
The USB 2.0 link caps sustained throughput at 480 Mbps, creating a bottleneck for high-speed UHS-1 cards that can read faster. The USB-A female port shares the same bus, so attaching a peripheral while a card is active reduces available bandwidth further. The adapter does not support newer USB standards or alternative protocols, limiting its use with future high-performance storage.

Questions about this item
Will the USB-A port on this adapter let me keep using my older USB 2.0 flash drives at their normal 480Mbps speed?
Yes, the USB-A female port provides OTG pass-through at up to 480Mbps, so legacy USB 2.0 drives run at their rated speed.
How can I confirm the reader is operating at the full 480Mbps rate once I plug it in?
Transfer a large file to a UHS-1 microSD card and check that sustained read/write speeds approach the 480Mbps ceiling reported by the OS.
Does the package include any memory cards or extra cables, or do I need to buy them separately?
Only the card reader is supplied; microSD, SD, SDHC or SDXC cards must be purchased separately.
