USB-C Audio Adapter with 100 W Pass-Through
This adapter adds a 3.5 mm headphone jack and 100 W Power Delivery charging to any USB-C laptop, tablet or phone. It targets users whose device lacks a built-in audio port or whose existing port has failed. The built-in DAC handles PCM audio up to 16 bit / 48 kHz for stereo playback and headset microphone input.
Audio Limits: 16 bit / 48 kHz PCM Only
The integrated CS201C100 DAC decodes PCM streams at a maximum of 16 bit depth and 48 kHz sample rate. Higher-resolution formats, DSD or multi-channel audio are not supported. The 100 W PD pass-through is limited to the host port's own power-negotiation capability; it does not increase the charger's output beyond what the source provides.
CTIA/OMTP Headset Auto-Detection
A smart chip automatically identifies CTIA or OMTP wiring on the connected 3.5 mm plug, so a single headset works for both audio and microphone without manual switching. This detection is the deciding factor for buyers who need inline mic support on mobile headsets. Devices without a USB-C data port cannot use this adapter.

Questions about this item
Should I choose the 16bit 48kHz DAC version or is there a higher-resolution option?
This adapter uses the CS201C100 DAC and supports PCM up to 16bit / 48kHz; no higher-resolution version is listed.
What does 16bit 48kHz mean for my headphones in daily use?
It delivers CD-quality digital audio through the built-in DAC, bypassing a faulty onboard port for clear stereo playback and microphone support.
How does the 100W Power Delivery affect audio while charging?
The USB-C port passes up to 100W PD to the host device while the 3.5 mm jack carries audio, so both work simultaneously without extra power.
