USB-C to USB 3.0-A Female OTG Adapter
This 30 cm angled cable connects a USB-C host to a standard USB 3.0-A device. It supplies 5 V power and carries USB 3.0 data for peripherals such as flash drives, keyboards or printers. The reversible Type-C plug inserts either way up. Builders who need video, audio or alternate-mode signals cannot use this adapter.
Practical limits of the USB 3.0 interface
The link tops out at 10 Gbps in Super-Speed mode and falls back to 480 Mbps at Hi-Speed or 1.5 Mbps at Low-Speed. Only USB 3.0 data and 5 V power pass through; DisplayPort, HDMI or other alternate modes are blocked by design. Users who require more bandwidth or native USB-C video output must choose a different solution.
OTG function decides compatibility
With OTG support the cable lets a USB-C phone, tablet or laptop act as a host for USB-A peripherals. If the connected device does not implement OTG host mode the adapter will not enumerate the peripheral. Check the host specification for OTG before purchase.

Questions about this item
Which length of the Fervit USB-C to USB 3.0-A angled OTG cable should I choose?
This listing offers a single 30 cm cable; there are no alternative lengths to select.
What does the 10 Gbps rating mean when I use this cable with my devices?
The 10 Gbps figure is the maximum theoretical throughput of the USB 3.1 Gen 2 interface; actual speed will be limited to USB 3.0 Super-Speed (5 Gbps) because the female port is USB 3.0.
Which USB standard does the Type-C plug follow and what does it cap in practice?
The plug follows USB 3.1 and is reversible; however, the cable only carries USB 3.0 data and power, so video, audio and other alternate modes are not supported.
