USB4 cable for 8K displays and 100W charging
This one-metre USB4 cable carries video, data and power between USB-C hosts and monitors. It supports single 8K at 60 Hz, 5K at 60 Hz or 4K at 60 Hz resolution. Data moves at up to 20 Gbps, while Power Delivery reaches 100 W at 20 V / 5 A. An integrated LED readout shows live voltage, current and wattage.
Build integration with LED power meter
The male-to-male Type-C connectors plug directly into laptops, docking stations or external drives that accept DP Alternate Mode video. No separate power brick is required because the cable delivers up to 100 W to the host. The on-cable display lets you verify the negotiated charge rate without opening system utilities, freeing a USB port that would otherwise run a separate monitor.
Thermals and power behaviour
Passive copper conductors handle the 20 Gbps signal and 100 W load without active cooling. In typical operation the cable runs warm but stays within normal USB-C temperature limits. The LED panel draws negligible power and adds no audible noise. The 100 cm length keeps voltage drop low while avoiding the clutter of longer runs.

Questions about this item
What limits the 20 Gbps data rate during long transfers?
The USB4 20 Gbps specification caps sustained throughput; actual speed depends on the host controller and storage device.
Does the LED display add heat or power draw during all-day use?
The display draws minimal power from the 100 W budget and does not generate noticeable heat.
Which port must my monitor already have for 8K 60 Hz video?
A USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode is required for 8K at 60 Hz output.
