USB4 lanyard cable for portable devices

The Fervit USB4 cable lanyard combines a 30 cm USB-C to USB-C connection with a wearable wrist strap. It is designed for users who want a short, durable cable that doubles as a phone lanyard to prevent drops while travelling or commuting.

80 Gbps bandwidth with 240 W charging headroom

The cable supports USB4 Version 2.0 at up to 80 Gbps for Thunderbolt 5 devices and steps down to 40, 20, 10 or 5 Gbps for other hosts. An integrated E-marker chip enables Power Delivery 3.1 at 240 W, with backward compatibility to PD 3.0 and 2.0 for 140 W, 100 W and 60 W devices.

DP Alt Mode required for 8K video output

Video delivery up to 8K at 60 Hz or dual 4K at 60 Hz only works when the host USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode. Without DP Alt Mode the cable functions for data and charging but cannot drive an external display.

Questions about this item

Will the 80Gbps bandwidth work with my existing Thunderbolt 3 laptop and 40Gbps external SSD?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible with 40, 20, 10 and 5Gbps speeds, so it will negotiate the highest rate both devices support.

How can I confirm the cable is delivering 240W charging and 80Gbps data after I plug it in?

Check the power meter or OS power report for up to 48V5A output and run a large file transfer to verify throughput near the 80Gbps ceiling.

Does the package include a power adapter or video dongle, or just the 30cm silver lanyard cable?

Only the 30cm USB-C to USB-C lanyard cable is included; any charger, monitor cable or Thunderbolt dock must be purchased separately.
