Who this cable suits
The Fervit USB4 cable has a middle 90-degree connector that sits flush against the device, making it useful for tight desk setups and docking stations where a straight plug would block a mouse or adjacent port. It supports USB4 Version 2.0 data rates up to 80Gbps and carries Power Delivery 3.1 up to 240W, so it can charge phones, tablets and laptops from a single cord. The braided jacket resists wear from repeated bending.
What the E-marker and angle change
An integrated E-marker chip negotiates PD 3.1, 3.0 and 2.0 profiles, allowing the cable to deliver up to 48V at 5A and step down to 140W, 100W or 60W as the host requires. The right-angle moulding reduces mechanical stress on both the port and the cable junction, which helps prevent premature failure in daily connect-disconnect cycles. Dual 4K or single 8K video output at 60Hz is available when the host port supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode.
Limits of the USB4 2.0 interface
The 80Gbps ceiling only applies when both ends negotiate USB4 Version 2.0; otherwise the link falls back to 40, 20, 10 or 5Gbps. Video output requires the host USB-C port to implement DP Alt Mode, so hosts without that feature cannot drive external displays through this cable. The 1.6FT length suits close-range connections but does not reach across larger workstations.

Questions about this item
How long before the 90-degree USB-C connector or braided jacket shows wear from daily bending?
The L-shaped connector is designed to reduce cable fatigue and prevent port damage, while the braided jacket adds durability for repeated flexing at the angle.
What limits sustained 80 Gbps throughput on this 1.6 ft cable?
Maximum 80 Gbps bandwidth requires USB4 Ver 2.0 and Thunderbolt 5 on both host and device; otherwise the link falls back to 40, 20, 10 or 5 Gbps.
Does the E-marker chip or 240 W PD 3.1 charging make the cable warm during all-day use?
The built-in E-marker chip regulates current up to 48 V 5 A and adjusts voltage in real time, entering battery protection mode to avoid overcharging and excess heat.
