Product identity and purpose

This Fervit USB4 extension cable adds 13 cm of reach between a host port and a USB-C device while carrying 40 Gbps data, up to 240 W power and 8K 60 Hz video. The slim flat male-to-female design suits cramped desk setups, docks or portable monitors where the stock cable falls short.

Who benefits and who should look elsewhere

Laptop users who need extra length for a USB-C monitor, docking station or high-speed drive without losing bandwidth or charging speed will find the 40 Gbps link and 140 W or 100 W delivery adequate. Builds that require longer runs, angled connectors or legacy USB-A endpoints are not served by this short straight cable.

Deciding specification

The single figure that determines fit is the 40 Gbps USB 4.0 data rate combined with 240 W power and 8K 60 Hz video support; if the host and display both offer USB4 or compatible alt-mode, the cable passes full performance, otherwise the link falls back to the lowest common speed.

Questions about this item

Will the 40 Gbps data rate hold up during long file transfers without throttling?

The cable is rated for 40 Gbps under the USB4 specification, and its 13 cm length keeps signal loss minimal for sustained transfers.

Does the cable or its connectors get hot when delivering 240 W continuously?

The cable supports up to 240 W power delivery with 140 W or 100 W charging profiles, and the slim flat design helps dissipate heat during extended use.

My monitor only has a USB-C port — will it accept 8K 60 Hz video through this cable?

The cable carries 8K at 60 Hz video, but the monitor’s USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode for the video signal to work.
