This DWDM SFP+ module delivers 10 Gbps over single-mode fibre at distances up to 80 km using the C-band wavelength window 1563.86 nm to 1528.77 nm. It suits network operators extending 10GBASE-ZR/ZW, 8 GFC, 10 GFC, OC-192/STM-64, CPRI or OTN links across metro or campus backbones. The duplex LC connector and hot-pluggable SFP+ form factor allow insertion without powering down the switch.

Multi-rate upgrade for legacy 10G links

The transceiver supports data rates from 8.5 Gbps to 11.32 Gbps, covering 8GFC, 10GFC, OC-192, CPRI options 7 and 8, and OTU2/OTU2e/OTU2f in a single module. It replaces fixed-rate optics when a spare must serve several protocols or when a link budget demands the 80 km reach of a cooled EML laser and APD receiver. Buyers who need shorter reach, lower cost or multimode fibre should select a different module.

A cooled EML transmitter on the 100 GHz ITU grid and an APD receiver maintain link stability over the full 80 km span under continuous load.
