Survival adventure game

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a third-person survival adventure set in Neogene Africa ten million years ago. Players control early hominids exploring jungles and savannahs while managing thirst, fear and predators. The digital PC release requires a Steam account for activation and play.

Digital delivery and DRM

The product is a downloadable Steam code delivered electronically with no physical media. Activation binds the licence to the buyer's Steam library and requires an internet connection. Subtitles and menus are available in twelve languages including English, French, German, Japanese and Spanish.

From scripted action to emergent survival

This title replaces linear narrative games with an open-ended simulation where discoveries and abilities pass across generations. The jump is worthwhile for players who want systemic experimentation rather than guided set pieces. Buyers seeking a traditional story campaign or fast-paced combat will not find those structures here.
