Extreme Heat Protection

The FITFIV Q01Red-L is a size-7 red heat-resistant glove built for grilling, baking, smoking and oven work. Its outer layer uses ultra-high-strength aramid fibres tested to tolerate 1472°F, while a silicone grip surface adds non-slip security. The inner polyester-cotton lining covers fingers, palms, wrists and forearms for comfort. Machine-washable cuffs include a hanging loop for simple storage.

Home Cooks and Pitmasters

These gloves suit anyone handling hot grates, cast iron or bakeware who wants a long cuff measuring 13.78 inches and a palm width of 6.33 inches. Buyers needing certified industrial PPE, chemical-splash ratings or a shorter cuff for fine detail work should look at something else. The cotton-polyester blend is not designed for direct open-flame contact or prolonged extreme exposure.

Tested 1472°F Limit

The single specification that decides suitability is the laboratory test maximum of 1472°F heat resistance. This figure defines the upper thermal boundary for brief contact; it does not guarantee safety during sustained heat or direct flame. Match this limit to your highest cooking temperature before purchasing.

Questions about this item

What length of forearm does the 13.78" glove cover when I reach into a hot oven?

The long cuff extends 13.78 inches from fingertip to hem, shielding fingers, palm, wrist and lower forearm during oven work.

Will the 6.33" palm width fit over my existing silicone trivet grip without slipping?

The palm measures 6.33 inches wide and the outer silicone pattern grips smooth surfaces, so it holds a trivet securely.

How can I confirm the 1472°F rating is still effective after several machine washes?

After washing, inspect the aramid outer layer for fraying or thinning; intact fibres mean the tested heat resistance remains.
