HERCULES Series Big & Tall Chair

This Flash Furniture executive chair carries a 500 lb weight rating and is upholstered in black LeatherSoft. The high back design includes an integrated headrest with contoured back and seat cushions filled with foam. A metal frame supports the structure, while a silver nylon base provides swivel movement on hard floors. Fixed arms and a single tilt position complete the adjustable features.

Suited for heavier users needing a wide seat

The 24 inch seat depth and 23 inch back width accommodate larger body types in home offices or professional settings. The 60 pound unit weight reflects a substantial build rated for continuous 500 lb use. Buyers who need multiple recline lock angles, height-adjustable arms, or a mesh back for airflow should look at other models. The fixed arm style and single tilt position limit posture changes during long sessions.

500 lb weight capacity decides fit

This rating is the primary specification that determines whether the chair matches the user's requirements. The overall dimensions of 35.0 in x 28.5 in x 49.5 in define the space needed, while the knife edge cushion style and tapered leg base contribute to the contemporary profile. Verify the 500 lb limit aligns with intended use before purchase.

Questions about this item

How much floor space does the 35.0 in by 28.5 in footprint need?

The chair occupies a 35.0 in depth by 28.5 in width rectangle; allow extra clearance behind for the high back to recline without hitting walls.

Which bolts or screws must be tightened during assembly to avoid a loose swivel base?

Secure the four seat-to-mechanism bolts and the cylinder retaining clip before first use; the tapered leg base clicks into the gas lift and will wobble if the clip is missed.

When should the gas lift cylinder be replaced if the seat no longer holds height?

The 500 lb rated cylinder typically lasts several years; replace it when the seat sinks under load or fails to stay at the 24 in seat height setting.
