FLIR One Android Thermal Camera

The FLIR One 435-0003-02-00 is a plug-in thermal imaging adapter built for Android smartphones. It pairs a FLIR Lepton sensor with a visible light camera to produce blended thermal images. The unit draws power from its own 350 mAh battery so the phone charge is preserved during inspections.

0.1 °C thermal sensitivity

The sensor resolves temperature differences as small as 0.1 °C (0.18 °F) across a measurement range of -20 °C to 120 °C. A 640 × 480 VGA visible camera supplies the detail layer for the patented MSX overlay that sharpens thermal outlines.

Home inspectors and DIY energy auditors

Professionals who need radiometric data logging or higher spatial resolution should evaluate dedicated handheld imagers. Users with iOS devices or phones lacking a compatible USB-C port cannot attach this model.

Questions about this item

What does the 0.1 °C sensitivity mean when I am scanning a wall?

It lets the camera register temperature changes as small as one-tenth of a degree, so subtle heat loss behind plaster or insulation becomes visible on the overlay image.

How does the micro-USB connector limit what phones I can use?

The plug fits Android devices with a micro-USB port; phones that only have USB-C or Lightning will not connect without an adapter.

Will the 350 mAh battery add bulk to my phone?

The battery is built into the camera housing, so the unit stays compact and does not require a separate power pack or cable.
