Square chair mat for carpeted floors

The Floortex Ultimat polycarbonate mat measures 48 by 48 inches and is designed for low, medium and plush carpets up to half an inch thick. Its clear finish lets the carpet show through while the gripper back keeps the mat in place. The rigid surface gives an easy glide for chair casters and reduces leg fatigue. No assembly is required.

Replaces vinyl mats that curl or crack

Vinyl chair mats often sink, discolor or develop curled edges under daily rolling loads. This polycarbonate sheet has twice the impact strength of vinyl and will not curl, cup, crack or smell under normal use. The jump is worth it when a flat, long lasting surface matters more than a lower upfront cost. It also lies flat from delivery with no waiting period.

Handles standard office chairs on carpet

The 2.3 mm thick panel supports typical wheeled chairs on carpeted floors in home or office settings. It runs out of headroom on pile deeper than half an inch or on hard floors where the gripper back is not designed to grip. The material is 100 per cent recyclable and free from phthalates, tin, lead and cadmium. A manufacturing tolerance of roughly five percent applies to all dimensions.

Questions about this item

What carpet thickness can the 48 x 48 in mat support?

The mat is designed for low, medium pile and plush carpets up to 1/2 inch thick, with a 2.3 mm polycarbonate thickness that resists sinking or cracking.

How should the mat be positioned during installation?

Unroll the mat with the clear polycarbonate surface facing up and the gripper back contacting the carpet; it lies flat instantly with no flattening wait time required.

Will the mat dimensions change over time?

Due to thermoplastic cooling, the 48 x 48 in size has a +/- 5% tolerance, so minor variance from the stated dimensions is normal and expected.
