Noncontact Level Sensor

The Flowline LU29-01 is an ultrasonic transmitter designed for continuous level measurement of corrosive or sticky waste liquids. It mounts via a 2 inch NPT connection and suits industrial tanks or process vessels requiring chemical compatibility.

PVDF Construction Changes Media Compatibility

The PVDF antenna and housing resist attack from aggressive chemicals that would damage standard sensor materials. This allows reliable operation in harsh liquid environments where corrosion or coating would otherwise cause signal loss or sensor failure.

32.8 Foot Range with 8 Inch Dead Band

The sensor measures up to 393.6 inches with an accuracy of +/- 0.2 percent of range and a spatial resolution of 0.079 inches. Levels below 8 inches from the transducer face cannot be detected, and the 50 kHz beam width of 3 inches requires clear tank geometry.

Questions about this item

Will the PVDF sensor material need replacement when measuring corrosive liquids?

The PVDF construction resists corrosive and sticky waste liquids, so the sensor itself does not require scheduled replacement for chemical compatibility.

What is the closest distance the LU29-01 can reliably measure?

An 8-inch dead band means the transmitter cannot detect levels closer than 8 inches to the sensor face.

How much heat does the 2-wire 24V DC transmitter add to a small tank?

Operating on a 2-wire 24 V DC loop, the unit draws minimal power and adds negligible heat to the process.
