Complete Vinyl System

The Fluance RT85NBPA61W bundles a Reference turntable, PA10 phono preamp and Ai61 powered bookshelf speakers into one package. A Nagaoka MP-110 cartridge and acrylic platter sit on a solid wood plinth with isolation feet. Bluetooth input adds wireless streaming alongside the pure analog signal path.

Sustained Listening Sessions

The servo-controlled motor maintains consistent speed across full album sides while the 120W Class D amplifier drives the 6.5" glass-fiber woofers and silk-dome tweeters without compression. DSP equalisation keeps frequency response balanced during extended play, and the RIAA-equalised preamp preserves dynamics from the gold-plated RCA outputs.

Build and Daily Use

A bamboo-finished wood plinth and acrylic platter add mass that resists vibration, while three isolation feet decouple the turntable from furniture. The powered speakers accept Bluetooth and wired sources directly, so no separate receiver is required. At 44.65 lbs the system stays planted on a shelf or desk, and the S-type tonearm allows straightforward cartridge alignment.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 120W Class D amplifier in the Ai61 speakers produce during extended listening sessions?

The Class D design runs efficiently, so the speakers stay only mildly warm even after hours of playback.

Does the turntable require an external phono stage, or is the PA10 preamp built into the signal path?

The PA10 phono preamp is included and connects the turntable’s gold-plated RCA outputs directly to the powered speakers.

Can I keep using my older amplifier with the RT85N’s RCA outputs while also driving the Ai61 speakers?

The turntable’s RCA outputs feed the PA10 preamp, which then connects to the Ai61 speakers; there is no second line-level output for a legacy amp.
