- Five-pin pack covers multiple diagnostic points in one kit
Automotive Back Probe Pins
Fluke Automotive Back Probe Pins come in a five-piece set for technicians who need reliable access to sealed connectors on fuel injectors, throttle-position sensors and MAP sensors. The flexible, formable one-inch pins slide past weather-pack seals to reach conductors without damaging the housing. Bright yellow bodies make the probes easy to spot in a busy engine bay.
Replaces makeshift piercing
Instead of stabbing wires or forcing metre leads into tight seals, these pins provide a repeatable, non-destructive connection point. The upgrade is worth it whenever a diagnosis requires live voltage readings on sealed under-hood or under-vehicle connectors and the technician wants to avoid insulation damage that can cause intermittent faults later.
Limited to low-voltage DC circuits
The probes are tested to over 60 VDC, so they suit typical automotive sensor and injector circuits but are not rated for higher-voltage systems such as hybrid or electric-vehicle propulsion voltages. They connect to test leads with removable ends, for example the TL224, and should not be used on circuits that exceed the stated voltage rating.

Questions about this item
What size are the back probe pins and how flexible are they?
Each pin is a flexible and formable 1-inch pin that bends to reach past weather pack seals and connector conductors.
How do the pins connect to test leads and what common mistake should I avoid?
They connect to test leads with removable ends such as the TL224; ensure the lead ends are removable before attaching the pins.
What voltage rating do these pins have and how does that affect long-term use?
Tested to over 60 VDC, they are suitable for fuel injectors, TPS and MAP sensors; the bright yellow body helps prevent loss during repeated underhood use.
